“The colors became a testimony of the people and their town, their customs and their feelings, often taken to the Jovellanense context. Take a look at “Carnival” and you will already be seeing an example of the above, where composition, color and shapes are so perfectly justified that we experience the fascination of walking among endless crowds of overwhelming mulatto women, black partygoers, resonating drums and the sweat of a street party. Her effect leads us to the recreation of an innocent hedonism, apparently without many pretensions.”
