Alberto Peņa-Biography
He was born in La Habana, Cuba in 1897. Alberto Peņa, whom we probably know as Peņita because of his stature and the spirituality of his figure, has been the painter who achieved mixing politics without falling in commercialism (
) Peņita paints what he feels, illustrating the dreadful economy that we are going through; representing scenes that live in the minds of all mortals with common sense. Peņita is a humanist of painting. He died in La Habana, Cuba in 1938.
