 A Blast from the Past...
Homage to Cundo Bermúdez May 2002
The Opening of our next grand exhibition, Cundo Bermúdez: The Artist, The Friend is upon us this upcoming Friday, September 6, 2013 so we thought it would be a nice time to share a nostalgic remembrance –a look at a unique gallery event that dates back to May 1, 2002. This was the year when Cernuda Arte organized an amazing Homage to Cundo Bermúdez at the gallery.
A record-breaking number of people attended the opening of this event – (were you part of it?). We clearly recall how everyone wanted the Maestro to sign the catalog, the invitation. Cundo, who was always so warm and courteous, wanted to please everyone.
The assemblage of his radiant artwork, a selection of his favorite Cuban music playing in the background, the good energy surrounding the salons… What a magical night! Simply unforgettable. We have great pictures in our album that say a lot… They paint more than a thousand words and stay in our memories forever.
